New tricks to add to Stormy's repetoire

We recently added a quick round of training to the after-dinner routine, where we go through all of Stormy's commands with her. She loves it so much that she seeks us out and "sits" on the training rug to prompt us when we forget. I'm looking for some straight-forward commands I can add to her line up:

    Sit
    Paw
    circle
    Spin (other direction)
    Down
    Crawl
    Give Belly
    Roll over
    Stay
    Stand
    Finish
    Speak
    Leave it/take it
    Scootch (go backwards)
    Bring it
    Where's (insert toy name here)
Stormageddon, Princess of Darkness, aka "Stormy"

Does she know "give" (present whatever's in her mouth to your hand)? How about "drop it"?

I think of Leave It - Drop It - Give to be the trifecta of corrective commands. You know you've been successful when the only one you need is Leave It.

I always used "up up" with all of the dogs to indicate that I wanted them to get on/in something, e.g., the back of the SUV (for the ones allowed to jump in on their own), the scale at the vet. I used "kennel up" and "crate" for the dogs using those particular things.

    Dan also knew "back up".

How about some push-up Sit,down sit. down for as many reps as you like. Can also do them them stand, sit, down, sit stand sit down, then from a stand, down, stand.

Sounds an awful lot like an aerobics class I took many years ago.

Not sure who gets the better work out, dog or handler.Stormy might like some of the games that Kyra Sundance has. Elle does them when we are doing her therapy and we have scrounge things to make some of the equipment she uses.

How about “swoosh” where she weaves in between your legs in a figure 8? I taught that to Diggity with food as a lure and now he is great at it. He’ll go through about 6 times with just my hand guiding him through now.

Also, how about “pray” or “bow” where they put their elbows on the ground and their butt stays in the air? I am working on that with Diggity now.

The AKC does "Trick Dog Titles" (you submit a video). I know there are lists of various tricks out there that go from super easy to more complicated depending on the level of title. Perhaps google for that? Even if you don't get her a title, the lists might give you some ideas ...

"Touch" hold your hand out about shoulder high and she has to jump up and touch your palm with her nose. That's one of Cassie's favorites ... she'll run through her whole routine if you stand there holding a snack lol.
